Monday Homework

There will not be any spelling or reading homework assigned in Room 13 this week due to the short 3 day week.  However,  all students need to read each night to continue their progress in Reading Counts.  In addition, students need to continue to practice their division facts each night.  Math homework will be assigned as usual on Tuesday night.

Thursday Homework

Reading: Students with a reading folder  need to get a parent signature and read for 15 minutes.  Please also practice your reading fluency passage.

Math: Raccoon  Multiplication 4x1 page # 58

All students continue to practice their Division Facts 0-10 and 0-12 .

Tuesday Homework

Reading: Students with a reading folder must read for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their fluency passage.

Spelling:  CCC with this week's words for the Theme 5 story, Happy Birthday Dr. King.

There is no math homework for Room 13 math students....  All students need to practice their division facts.

Wednesday Homework

Reading: Students with reading folders need to read for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their reading fluency passages.

Spelling:  Spelling sentences with this week's spelling words.

Students need to practice their division facts through 10's.  Division Facts through 12's will be practiced next week.

Tuesday Homework

Reading: Students with reading folders need to read for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their passage for reading fluency.

Math: Lesson 1-6 and 1-9 which will be our final review for Unit 1 before our Unit 1 Test tomorrow.

Monday Homework

Reading:  Students with reading folders need to read for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their fluency passage.

Spelling:  CCC with this week's words.  This week's words include 10 high frequency words: because, toward, special, there, their, they're, a lot, fourth, forth and any words students have missed on the 2 previous week's words.

We are now practicing division facts; multiplication fact fluency grades are ready for Term 2 progress reports.

Thursday Homework

Reading:  Students with reading folders need to read orally for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their fluency passage.

Spelling: Students will be tested on this week's spelling words tomorrow.

Math: Multiplication practice I Love to Multiply p. 58.  We have started assessing division facts this week.

Wednesday Homework

Reading:  Students with reading folders need to read orally for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their passage fluency page for testing later this week.

Spelling: Spelling sentences for these words: howl, bounce, jaw, couch, dawn, false, sauce, wood, put, push, tool, full, roof, and pull,  plus another word from this week's 30 words (student choice).  Students will be tested on all 30 words on Friday.

Tuesday Homework

Reading: Students with a reading folder need to read orally for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their fluency passage.  Easy CBM words per minute scores (PRF) will be taken later this month and students who consistently practice each night should see improvement in their words per minute.

Spelling:  CCC with this week's words: American Stories Spelling Review

Math: Unit 1 Lesson 9 pages 69/70.  This will be our last week assessing multiplication facts.  We will move on to division facts next week.
