Wednesday Homework

Reading:  Students with a reading folder need to read for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their fluency passage.

Spelling:  Our weekly spelling test is Thursday since their is no school on Friday.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and  Happy New Year.  I hope everyone has a relaxing and fun-filled winter vacation.  Our first day day back to school is Tuesday, January 8,  2013.

Tuesday Homework

Math:  Solve Multistep Word Problems p.78 and Multiplying Larger Numbers p. PS4 #65  Please continue to practice facts from 0-12

Monday Homework

Reading: Students with a reading  folder need to read orally for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their fluency passage each night.

Spelling: CCC for this week's story from Theme 2 , A Very Important Day.

Math:  Students need to have mastered their multiplication facts 0-12.  Final assessment will be done following the winter break.

Thursday Homework

Reading:  Students will not need to bring home their reading folder tonight.  Students will not be required to have a parent signature tonight, but reading is always encouraged :)

Spelling:  A spelling test for Boss of the Plains words will be tomorrow. These are the same words as last week plus 5 bonus words.

Math: Multiplying: Trading Ones PS4 #63 (from in-class) and Lesson 1-5 p.63/64

Tuesday Homework

Reading: Students with reading folders need to read orally for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their passage fluency.

Math: Lesson 1-4 p.61/62  Students need to continue to practice their facts to increase their rate and accuracy.  We will be studying division facts shortly.

Monday Homework

Reading: Students with reading folders need to read for 15 minutes and get a parent signature.  Students also need to practice their fluency passage.

Spelling:  This week we are finishing up Boss of the Plains as well as Sarah, Plain, and Tall.  Therefore,  homework tonight will be CCC's from the challenge list of 5 words and any words students missed on last week's spelling test.  Some students may have as few as 5 words this week.  We will go back to a 20 word list next week.

Math: Students need to memorize their 11's and 12's for testing this week.  Multiplication applications will begin next week.  Students who do not know their facts will really struggle.

Parents:  Thank you so much for sending in money and books for the holiday party!  These items are appreciated very much.  If the books and money come in this week,  I will be better prepared for the party on Thursday, December 20th.

Spelling: Our spelling test is Friday.

Math: Order of Operations (B) Students are now testing on Mixed Facts including 11's and 12's

Math: Unit 1 Lesson 2  Tables of Combinations pages 57/58.  Students need to continue to practice their multiplication facts as well.
