Social Studies: Tonight, parents need to edit their student's Journal 1 Paragraphs 1 and 4. Students have written and edited these journals in class, but some students need extra time to write and edit at home in addition. By editing I mean parents need to mark and correct errors in ink and sign on the front page where the red Parent Signature stamp is located. Another option might be to circle a misspelled word and ask the student to look it up in the dictionary. If you do this please double check that the word was finally spelled correctly on the paper. Thank you for your support in this. Tomorrow students will write final copy journals from their rough drafts. Students really learn a lot about the Oregon Trail during this simulation and will have a journal to treasure for years.

Vocabulary Pictures for Chapter 1 of Sarah, Plain, and Tall are due tomorrow. Some students have been asked to re-read Chapter 1 and fix up their errors on today's test.

Social Studies: Students are bringing home an information sheet about an Oregon Region Diorama at-home project. These information sheets give very clear directions. This project is due April 2 and is to be completed at home. Please contact Mrs. Ancell is you have any questions or concerns.
