Thursday Homework

Reading: All Room 13 reading students need to be ready to be tested on Chapters 4 and  5 in Sarah, Plain and Tall on Friday.  Students with reading folders also need a parent signature.  We will be taking the Oaks Statewide Assessment in Reading next week, so I plan to collect the books on Friday.  I will not be assigning reading or spelling homework next week.  We will be testing in the morning, Monday through Friday.

Math: Decimals pages 50 and 51 (2-sided).

Other: The week of April 11-15 is Bring a Loved One to Lunch Day at Ridgeview.  Fourth grade loved ones will have lunch with their students at our regular time, 12:15, on April 14.  A green sign up sheet was sent home with Room 13 students today.  It needs to be filled out and returned on Monday, April 4, so we can prepare for our guests.

Happy Friday!

Friday: I hope everyone has a great spring break.  Parents, please note that your student's progress report was sent home on Wednesday, March 16.  Also, a "No Weekly Report" half sized sheet was sent home today. I did this because I was absent on Thursday and Progress Reports were just sent home.

As we start Term 3, I want to remind parents to look for Weekly Reports on Friday, Assignment Sheets and CCC's on Monday, Math on Tuesday and Thursday, and Spelling Sentences on Wednesday.  Thank you for your efforts in helping your student with the daily practice all students need.  Students should also read about 15-20 minutes each night.  Students with reading folders are asked to get a parent signature each night.

Monday Homework

Spelling Homework:  CCC for the spelling words for "Heat Wave" Theme 3.

I have added math to Monday night's homework because most students in my math class need extra practice in computing the area and perimeter of complex figures.  We have worked on these types of problems in class as a group.  This is an opportunity for students to independently practice this skill.

Tonight's math homework: page 115 Unit 2 Lesson 6.

Monday Spelling Homework

Tonight's spelling homework is: Complete CCC for the story "Heat Wave" in Theme 3. If you have a reading folder requiring a parent signature,  please read aloud for 15 minutes and practice this week's Read Naturally selection, Alex Haley.
